I'm super-stoked you're here. I hope you enjoy browsing through our blog, there's lots to discover from sessions, videos, tips and tricks for all things photography & videography (and more!)
A little more about me? I spend way too much at Starbucks, those cold brews are amazing! I love playing video games and watching movies, and I'm obsessed with everything Gordon Ramsay. So if i'm not on the computer, you can find me at home on the couch with an xbox controller, or in the kitchen cooking up something great!
I hope your day is as beautiful as you are. Enjoy!
-Stephanie
Today was just one of those day that at first – it seemed like nothing wanted to go right. But after a long day and some frustrations, the world just decided to cut me a break. At 5:00 (and for whatever reason, within 2 minutes of each other,) I got word that my license was expected for the State of North Carolina, I was approved for my very first Business account, and I had 3 wedding inquires waiting for me in my inbox. Talk about a great way to end the day!
I can’t tell you how excited and eager I am to get the ball rolling for 2017. Its not quite wedding season yet, but its certainly booking season! This week alone I’ve seen over 20 emails from Brides and Grooms, the most I’ve ever seen in a single week! All asking for my wedding pricing and services. But so many of them are for the same date! To those of you who have seen an “unavailable” email from me, I’m so sorry I couldn’t be there for your big day – but I’ll admit, September and October weddings seem to have a “every bride for themselves” kind of feeling. The dates go fast, and that’s just the nature of booking a wedding for the fall in the Carolina’s.
While I wait for some warmer weather, however, I’ve been creating a business plan to buy new equipment, build my at-home-studio to accommodate for Newborn and Boudoir portraiture (no more hotel rooms, ladies!) and teaching myself some new tricks with software. Like checkout these after “after” edits from the Morgan wedding this past August. By using Photoshop and Lightroom, I finally learned to fill the photo with light without sacrificing detail or over saturating the image – and it makes me even more ready to do my first wedding of 2017! (Original Edit first – New Edit 2nd)
If you have any questions at all, don’t ever hesitate to contact me. I’m happy to answer any and all questions! Have a great rest of the week!
